"None Other!"

"Also unto Thee, O LORD, belongeth mercy: for Thou renderest to every man according to his work." (Psalms 62:12) Did you get that? It is really easy to let it slip by unnoticed, but "We have left God's paths to follow our own" (Isaiah 53:6b), speaks to the fact that we all like to make our own paths to follow, as if we know best what is the way that we should go. You do realize that each and every person on this planet has a natural tendency to want to worship a god? The majority are not worshiping Thee God, and they may not even be worshiping anything that might resemble a god, it could just be the planet or themselves, if they base in power in them; but we are designed to naturally worship something, yet God has designed us to worship Him, ideally! I saw a survey listed on Drudge a couple weeks ago, and was it mentioned by Mike Huckabee, that Americans would rather have a Gay President than an Evangelical Christian. I can see why that is, in this modern day culture of 'tolerance'; "Don't Judge Me" has become the underlying theme in so many areas, especially in the area of sexuality and lifestyle. Don't you think it is interesting how the Rainbow has become a symbol of gay pride? The Rainbow that God used for a sign that He would never destroy the world again with a flood (Genesis 9:11-17). If our current President had not pretended to be a Christian, he might not have won his first election, but the culture has changed in the last seven years. There is an interesting Sermon by Charles Spurgeon, titled "Mongrel Religion", which he gave October 2nd, 1881; it was based upon the verse 2 Kings 17:41, which says, "So these nations feared the Lord and served their graven images, both their children, and their children's children: as did their fathers, so do they unto this day." If you check out the United Church of Christ, they claim and brag about being "the church of firsts"; unfortunately, I hate to break their bubble, but I think they are mistaken in that regard; they might be the first to do certain things here in America, but the pattern of blending the church with the world was not created by them. We have got to stay totally and completely dependent upon God's Word; if it is not backed up with the Bible, then it has "left God's paths"! If it is not based in 'Sound Doctrine', then it is following something other than the path that God has established! I don't care how compassionate or caring a ministry is, if it has left off from the teaching of the Bible as God's Holy Word and His final word, then it has created a path of it's own...
"I don't want you to forget, dear brothers and sisters, about our ancestors in the wilderness long ago. All of them were guided by a cloud that moved ahead of them, and all of them walked through the sea on dry ground. In the cloud and in the sea, all of them were baptized as followers of Moses. All of them ate the same spiritual food, and all of them drank the same spiritual water. They drank from the spiritual rock that traveled with them, and that rock was Christ. Yet God was not pleased with most of them, and their bodies were scattered in the wilderness. These things happened as a warning to us, so that we would not crave evil things as they did, or worship idols as some of them did. As the Scriptures say, "The people celebrated with feasting and drinking, and they indulged in pagan revelry. And we must not engage in sexual immorality as some of them did, causing 23,000 of them to die in one day. Nor should we put Christ to the test, as some of them did and then died from snakebites. And don't grumble as some of them did, and were destroyed by the angel of death. Theses things happened to them as examples for us. They were written down to warn us who live at the end of the age." (1 Corinthians 10:1-11)NLT
