"Every Little Bit"

"They only consult to cast him down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah." (Psalms 62:4) If you thought yesterday was interesting, you have got to get some of this! I don't know about you, but I am sick and tired of hearing people talk as though God does not matter when it comes to having victory over something; as if it is more dependent upon how strong we are as a fighter and as a person of character, and God works off our strength, instead of the way that it should be; you know what I am talking about, "Strength in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9). You can look at the vastness of the Universe, and it really does not take much imagination to wonder how we matter all that much in all of billions and trillions of stars and planets out there; but the Creator of all of that came here, on this "pale blue dot", to die upon a cross for our sins; how could anyone think that we don't matter to God? You have got to see how much David is trying to make a point, not just regarding how much we need to be dependent upon God, but how little we should to be dependent upon ourselves. I think of the tempting of Jesus in the wilderness, and how the devil tried to use anything and everything of this world to try and temp Him. It is no different for you and I; we get the same kind to temptations; sometimes from those who mean well, but without saying so, they seriously doubt "His Excellency"! If you are a child of God, then you have got to realize that God has nothing but good intentions for you! God is on your side; He is fighting for you, and He is 100% the Victor 100% of the time! I don't care what it is that you are going through and how much it might hurt right now, nothing compares to that which God has in store for you; absolutely nothing, not even life itself! Please don't get me wrong, I am not trying to put anyone down who might feel devastated in some kind of trial, I understand and I feel your pain, you have got to believe me; but it is really only for a little while, and there is no pain that we can be given here, that can even compare to the glory that awaits us in heaven; and God is really not trying to hurt you, He loves you! Everything that we go through, whether good or bad, it is all meant towards the good! God does not allow it otherwise, and we have got to get that into our heads! I you want something to fight for, then fight for the Character of God; let His character shine through you, in whatever it is, no matter the difficulty, God is Excellent...
"O Israel, says the LORD, if you wanted to return to Me, you could. You could throw away your detestable idols and stray away no more. Then when you swear by My name, saying, 'As surely as the LORD lives', you could do so with truth, justice, and righteousness.
