"The Enabler" -2

"Thou art the God that doest wonders: thou hast declared thy strength among the people." (Psalms 77:14) It might just be me, but isn't time that Jesus came for His bride? Oh my, can we just get ready already! That is what I believe is preventing His coming, His bride is not yet ready to depart. We must understand how much we need the Holy Spirit to direct our lives; and I'm not talking about guiding us this way or that, I'm talking about directing our hearts and making us actually love one another. The way I see it, the wonders of God are displayed in His church, much more than they are displayed in creation or in signs and wonders. If you give "the people" a sign or a wonder they will just wait for another, and another; signs and wonders are short lived when it comes to changing the way people think; but love, love is the "strength" of God that crushes the human spirit and brings people to their knees. Oneness, that's what we need to be! All of our differences aside, we need to be one in Christ Jesus; that is when we will be loving each other as ourselves. And who do you think is going to make that happen, you or me? Nope! You are wrong if you said yes, because we can not do it, no way, no how. If you think you can, or even do, then how's that working out for you so far? Will you give your life for a brother or a sister, unconditionally? The "Way" is not a slogan, it's a model of how to give your life for others; that's what Jesus showed us! He did not come just to die for our sins, He came to demonstrate humility and love, the kind that causes people to say, "What just happen!" as they pick themselves up off the floor. It's the Holy Spirit living in us that will make us love as we must love, and it's up to us to yield our lives to Him so that He can work in us. Do you know what kind of "wonder" will be displayed when that happens? You've got it -Jesus shows up! And when Jesus shows up, God's strength is declared to "the people"... "You have not come to a physical mountain, to a place of flaming fire, darkness, gloom, and whirlwind, as the Israelites did at Mount Sinai. For they heard an awesome trumpet blast and a voice so terrible that they begged God to stop speaking. They staggered back under God's command: "If even an animal touches the mountain, it must be stoned to death." Moses himself was so frightened at the sight that he said, "I am terrified and trembling." No, you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the Living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to the countless thousands of angels in a joyful gathering. You have come to the assembly of God's firstborn children, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God himself, who is judge over all things. You have come to the spirits of the righteous ones in heaven who have now been made perfect. You have come to Jesus, the one who mediates the new covenant between God and the people, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks of forgiveness instead of crying out for vengeance like the blood of Abel." (Hebrews 12:18-24) NLT
