"Ornaments of His Grace" -2

"For Thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: Thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head." (Psalms 21:3) Besides being His ornaments of His grace, created for Him to show forth all His mighty and wondrous works, what we receive as crowns in heaven are also His ornaments also. Have you ever wondered why we would be casting our crowns at the feet of our God? We will be so blown away by what He has done, and by how Holy and Glorious that He is, that our only response will be to cast those crowns down, for He alone is worthy of all praise and honour and glory! Besides that, He is the one from whom those crowns have came; for without the crown of thorns being worn by Him, we may have not received any crowns to begin with, because it was a sign of His glorious grace; He having bore our shame, as not only slain for our sins, but placed upon His head was the representation of that curse which had caused man's head to hang low in despair and agony; one more article that sin had brought into the world was that of being ashamed. The first thing which was realized by Adam and Eve, was that of their nakedness, and how ashamed that they felt to be exposed and uncovered. A crown is something that displays authority and royalty, which is almost the opposite of shame and nakedness. Any authority that we have to display a crown upon our heads is only possible because Jesus Christ has given us the privilege of serving Him, and the right to stand upright, and free from the shame and nakedness of sin, before the Father in heaven. Proverbs 12:4 says, "A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness to his bones." I believe that this speaks more than just the relationship of that of a man and a woman; but that it speaks also of the relationship between us and our Lord Jesus Christ. This word for "crown" that is used in this Proverb is also the same word that is used in Psalms 21:3, and it means that of an ornament of dignity to anyone who wears it. As with the point of a virtuous woman, she is one who gives honor and praise towards her husband, much as a man of valor would give for the army to which he is attached and to the country for which that army does stand; so are we in our relationship with our Lord and King, as His glorious bride, we are the crown unto Him..."In Whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of Him who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will: that we should be to the praise of His glory, who first trusted in Christ. In Whom ye also ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in Whom also, after that ye believed, ye were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of His glory." (Ephesians 1:11-14)
