"Monumental Judgement"

"Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of Thine anger: the LORD shall swallow them up in His wrath, and the fire shall devour them." (Psalms 21:9) Besides, you really do not want to be on the wrong side of God's judgement!!! I can't stress enough the importance of receiving God's free gift of mercy and grace! As bad as all of our sins might be, the one sin that will judge us all, is whether or not we rejected His Son and the death that He suffered for us. That will be the final answer to the price of sin; if you have received Jesus, you are set free from that price; if you have rejected Him, then it's time to bake! Some might say, Why can a God that is all about love be so judgemental? Oh my goodness; How can a God who loves us so much be so rejected? It is not a matter of Him wanting to judge us, because He has made a way that we shall not be judged; but if we reject His free offer of salvation from sin, then how is that His fault? His primary reason for the creation of Hell was for Satan and his demons, we do not have to go there, nor does our loving Father want us to! His desire is that each and everyone of us be saved! "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) And the sad thing is, we all can be, but many will reject His free offer because they love their sins more than what might or might not be waiting ahead. Jesus shared about this with the story of the "Rich man and Lazarus", which by the way, was not a parable; and in this story, the rich man begged Abraham that he send Lazarus back to his father's house, so that he might testify to his five brothers, least they too end up in the fiery pit that he found himself in. But Abraham gave an answer, to which, it might seem very brief and open ended, but it is that which is the truth of what sin does to our hearts, and how the darkness of sin will blind us from seeing the wonder of God's love, even if someone were raised from the dead; which by the way, Jesus was!!! (Luke 16:19-31) It really is not a question of why can God judge so harshly? or why would He allow anyone to burn in Hell? But rather; why would anyone take that chance and not receive His gift of eternal life? Honestly, I cannot explain it, but to say, the pleasures of this world are more real to them than the life that is to come, therefore they live for today and let tomorrow be what it shall be... "And I saw a great white throne, and Him that sat on it , from Whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the Book of Life: and the dead were judged out of those things that were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire." (Revelation 20:11-15)
