"Quite Quaint"

"Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?" (John 8:57 KJV)

"Fools have no interest in understanding; they only want to air their own opinions." (Proverbs 18:2 NLT)

Keep your hopes up and stay strong in the Lord! That is the point I really wanted to make, without trying to seem to upset over my own situation and trials. What are we to do when we have trials? We count it all joy! As James says: "Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy." (James 1:2 NLT)

Right off the bat, James announces who he is, why he is writing, and then, boom! I have seen things that prove you are in Good hands! Listening to Pastor Robert yesterday on the way to church, he was talking about the definition of good, as to whether good and God were the same word.

He said he looked it up on the internet, but didn't find what he was looking for, so he went to the Bible for the definition. The best way to find the definition or meaning of any word in the Bible, is usually to go to the very first use of the word, which is shown in Genesis 1:4, "And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness."

So, now that we know that, we can begin to examine the trials in a completely different light! Please forgive me if I might stop this post rather abruptly! But before I do: God is Good...

"Therefore, since we have been made right in God's sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we can confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God's glory. We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love." (Romans 5:1-5 NLT)
