"The Real Deal" - 2

"Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:" (John 8:54 KJV)

"I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God's power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God's right hand in the heavenly realms. Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else - not only in this world but also in the world to come. God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church. And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself." (Ephesians 1:19-23 NLT)

Let me start off today by saying, if it is true that we only use 10% of our brain for our potential; then it is probably also true that we only use 1% of Holy Spirit's power to be the servant we should be. Okay, maybe I am stretching it a little much; maybe it is more like, .001%. I think if we used 1% we could walk on water!

Ultimately, God's ability to use us, is hardly ever tried or tested to the full potential, because we are not able to control ourselves. If we could, we would be super-human, making ourselves into something that gets all the attention, and being all that we could be; instead of giving God the honor for everything that is done.

Don't think it can't happen, because it happens all the time, to the strongest and greatest among us! The whole thing about that mustard seed parable that actually makes any sense, is that it starts out very small, making it either the main thing or the least thing; allowing the growth to be the main attraction, not that actual seed that created the growth!

Anywho! Who is the most important, is what really matters the most...

"We know that we are children of God and that the world around us is under the control of the evil one. And we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us understanding so that we can know the true God. And now we live in fellowship with the true God because we live in fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the only true God, and he is eternal life. Dear children, keep away from anything that might take God's place in your hearts." (1 John 5:19-21 NLT)
