"Pulling Back the Curtain" - 2

"Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him." (John 9:3 KJV)

"When I think of all this, I fall on my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. The Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God." (Ephesians 3:14-19 NLT)

Listening to some of the current messages about current events, it is pretty easy to get worked up and want to do something to hold back some of what is obviously bad for families and children. It really hurts my heart to see some of the stuff that is being forced into the minds of anyone that will allow evil to come in, even if they don't realize it is happening.

Whether it is obvious or not, we must understand who it is that is making it happen! Basically, this is pretty much his time to go all out, pulling out everything in his toolbox, and cause as much damage to the church as he possibly can. Why do you think that is? Because his time is short!

Now then, about this curtain, which I would like to show, is the tapestry of this world! No matter who you are, whether or not you are serving in a church or out in the world, you are going to be having a battle with being able to see through this curtain of the world.

To put it in a different light, Solomon wrote the book Ecclesiastes from behind this curtain. Some say that Solomon did not write it, and that it was written by someone else about Solomon. Personally, I am rather convinced that he did write it, mostly because of the title, which means, "The Preacher."

Just so you know, there are some that have the greatest ministries, but they also have some of the most ungodly trials and difficulties. The more that you do to spread the Gospel, the bigger the target gets put on your life. I actually heard someone say, 'Solomon had so many wives, from so many areas, because he was trying to share God with the world.'

That might have been his initial thought, but I doubt he thought it through! This curtain of the world has many layers; some of which are thick and some which are thin. As soon as you think you have pulled it back, there is another layer right behind it, with a different temptation; but the same curtain always comes back.

Why do I feel I need to share this? Because it needs to be something that we must understand. As long as we are in this world, we are going to have trials! We are not of this world any longer, and we must make sure that we understand what that means! It means that the world hates us, just as the world hated Jesus Christ!

You are going to be tormented by whatever the enemy can throw at you, so get over being concerned about it, it is just the way that it works! Keep your eyes on Jesus...

"So humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him, be strong in your faith. Remember that your Christian brothers and sisters all over the world are going through the same kind of suffering you are." (1 Peter 5:6-9 NLT)
