"Jesus Heals a Man Born Blind"

"As Jesus was walking along, he saw a man who had been blind from birth. "Rabbi," his disciples asked him, "why was this man born blind? Was it because of his own sins or his parent's sins?"

"It was not because of his sins or his parents' sins," Jesus answered. "This happened so the power of God could be seen in him. We must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent us. The night is coming, and then no one can work. But while I am here in the world, I am the light of the world."

Then he spit on the ground, made mud with the saliva, and spread the mud over the blind man's eyes. He told him, "Go was yourself in the pool of Siloam" (Siloam means "sent"). So the man went and washed and came back seeing!

His neighbors and others who knew him as a blind beggar asked each other, "Isn't this the man who used to sit and beg?" Some said he was, and others said, "No, he just looks like him!"

But the beggar kept saying, "Yes, I am the same one!"

They asked, "Who healed you? What happened?"

He told them, "The man they call Jesus made mud and spread it over my eyes and told me, 'Go to the pool of Siloam and wash yourself.' So I went and washed, and now I can see."

"Where is he now?" they asked. "I don't know," he relied." (John 9:1-12 NLT)

Just so you know, yesterday was about as weird as the day before. Couldn't quite get going; and the Text was too long, my time was too short, and my mind was filled with all sorts of different thoughts. So, I paused to pray!

That might not sound all that strange, but I had just finished praying for almost an hour, and it was time to start typing something, which, based upon what I have done thus far, would have been John 9:1-34. I was overwhelmed by the thought of typing all of that, so there you have it! Wasn't that pretty cool!

Maybe it was just my imagination, but I am pretty sure the Holy Spirit wanted me to share something else. We have been dealing with this issue for many years, based upon a judgment as to the rights of a mother to do with her body, whatever she wants. But, there is another life that has rights, the life that lives inside of her body!

Everything is about choice! We all have a choice in making the right choices; but everyone should have the right information regarding the choices that they make! Eve was deceived, because the devil lied and told her she would not die if she ate from that tree; making her feel better off by eating the fruit. The only way the courts could justify the killing of another human, was to declare that the fetus was not an actual person; thus giving a woman less guilt about killing her child.

This does not mean the end of abortion! But it does shed light on the other life...

"We can make our own plans, but the LORD gives the right answer." (Proverbs 16:1 NLT)
