"The Eighth Day" - 2

"In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink." (John 7:37 KJV)

"In the same way, he took the cup of wine after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant between God and his people - an agreement confirmed with my blood. Do this to remember me as often as you drink it."" (1 Corinthians 11:25 NLT)

I know this is has more to it than I am sharing, so don't get upset if I don't mention something that is the favorite part that you might hold dear. There must be a newness to our lives, whenever and whatever it takes, we need to be aware of the change new birth has given us. Just because you may not currently feel the change, whether it was because you have not been living it out, or because you have slipped back into your old ways, you must turn and follow Jesus!

It is not all that complicated, as there will always be those that try and make it about following rules and certain guidelines. Just keep your eyes on Christ, and make Him Lord of your life, and you will do fine! Regardless of what condition your heart might be in, whether you are feeling strong or you have just about given up, it is always all about Jesus Christ and the work that He has done; never about our goodness or our righteousness, only Jesus and the blood He shed on that cross!

If you feel strong, make sure that your strength is in the Lord, not in yourself. If you are feeling like giving up, then give in to Jesus, and surrender all to Him! Make this day count, not looking back, but looking forward to all that He will do today and from this day on! It is really just as simple as that: If you thirst, come unto Him, and drink...

""Is anyone thirsty? Come and drink - even if you have no money! Come, take your choice of wine or milk - it's all free! Why spend money on food that does not give you strength? Why pay for food that does you no good? Listen to me, and you will eat what is good. You will enjoy the finest food."" (Isaiah 55:1-2 NLT)
