"Young Women of Jerusalem"

"Catch all the foxes, those little foxes, before they ruin the vineyard of love, for the grapevines are blossoming!" (S.O.S. 2:15 NLT)

As much as I hate to say it, but this might be the most mysterious thing I have ever heard; it is either something that is meant to be paid close attention to, or something that is to be ignored. Depending on who it might be that is talking, it can be a word of warning, or, as some might assume, a little encouragement to the relationship, to blossom together, not keeping secrets or failing to share any fears and doubts that might be in their hearts.
If you are inclined to read this as a story of two people in love, then there are certain things that are not shared in the early stages of relationships. It might be unfortunate, but there are certain things that go unshared that are certain to complicate things later on; call those things baggage or family history, whatever you like to assume this might be, it is something that must be dealt with before a love is given a foundation; or in this case, a vineyard.
The New King James attributes this voice to the maiden's brothers; while others, to the maiden herself. The New Living Translation makes this out to be the Young Women of Jerusalem; and you might all know by now, I have my doubts as to their motivation, whether they are for the relationship or whether they might want to harm it. One thing I know, man's heart is selfish and is always looking for the easy way in or out of everything, whether we are talking about relationships or just certain situations or circumstances, we always look for the easiest way to get our own way.
If we are honest, the sins we don't want to give away are always the sins that we like; not that this is something the relates, but it is something of interest. Another thing I have learned over the years, it that we must teach ourselves to sin. Not that we need any help sinning, but to do it in a way that might make it okay, that is something we must work at doing; and the more we practice it, the easier it gets.
As I said in the beginning, there will be many times to revisit certain Scriptures; as it is in any relationship, the strongest relationships are always based upon the beginning, the first love, if you will; that which sparked the relationship and that which first pierced our stony heart...

"For I am not ashamed of the Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes -the Jew first and also the Gentile. This Good News tells how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, "It is through faith that a righteous person has life."" (Romans 1:16-17) NLT
