"Possession and Tenure"

"My beloved is mine, and I am his: he feedeth among the lilies." (S.O.S. 2:16)

There is something else we must come to understand, something that we must accept and make it our own: this is all His doing! Yes, I know, we cannot totally understand that, not yet; it is beyond our comprehension to understand, and just when we think that we do, our pride gets in the way of ability to completely accept it, let alone make it our own.
How is your love for Him made sure? I know we are convinced that He loves us; us meaning the lost and sinners worldwide. But when it comes to us as individuals, what is it that makes us know He loves us for sure? Understandably, that is a question we can only figure out on our own; but there are some basic principles that are able to convince us one way or another.
If you can say without a doubt that you know Him, that is a pretty good start; but it is not enough to fortify your relationship: the demons know Him also, and tremble, (James 2:19,) so it is not all that big of a deal to say knowing Him makes all the difference in the world.
If you can practice doing certain things that prove that you are His, that too will get you noticed; but if it does not involve love, it is all for nothing and does not prove anything. To be perfectly honest, if we do anything to prove something, then it is something we are not really sure of; because love does not need to be proven, it just is and it remains!
I know this might seem a little odd, but there is something else we need to focus upon other than our selves; as a matter of fact, the more we study ourselves and our actions, the more we will end up doubting who we are and what we are even capable of doing for Him. If we are really serious about finding out about our love for Him, then we need to put all of our focus upon His love for us...

"What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us." (Romans 8:31-34)
