"A New Way Of Thinking"

"Blessed are the undefiled in the 'way', who walk in the law of the Lord. Blessed are they that keep His testimonies, and the seek Him with 'the whole heart'. They also do no iniquity: they walk in His ways. Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently. O that my ways were directed to keep Thy statutes! " (Psalm 119:1-5) If you remember from previous blogs I have posted, the word 'way' above is taken from the Hebrew word 'Derekh', and it means a going, walk, journey; way of life, lot in life, worship. It can mean a physical passageway; but more often it refers to the actions of men, whether wicked or righteous. There is an important thing which we must not forget to do once we have been made whole, and that is to place His Word into our hearts. What this means, is that we must fill all the voids created by cleansing with His Word. As each thing becomes revealed and removed, we must then replace it with the Word of God; to fortify our minds, and to establish our hearts in the 'way'. Again, we must remember that we are in a battle; and the place we want to be on the battlefield is on the offensive; which is always pressing forward. What this does in our walk, is to ensure that the enemy never gains a foothold in our lives, and that we are always advancing toward godliness. The place that we do not want to be, is on the defensive line of the battlefield; which means that we are holding a line to suppress the enemy; which means that we are not advancing, but having to ward off an attack. Why is this the wrong place to be? Well, for one, Jesus Christ has already defeated the enemy; and if we are in Christ Jesus, then we are on the winning side; and if we are finding ourselves on the defensive side on the battlefield, then we are weakened by the flesh, and need to adjust our position. "Greater is He that is in us, than he that is in the world"!!! To ensure that we are equip for battle, we 'must' be filled with the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. In order to achieve both of these 'must' do things we must be 'whole'; which means that our hearts are right before God. How desperate are you for a heart that is right before God? You must decide what you will be, and who you will serve! Like David, there must be a plea for help, along with a sure desire to be made whole. This is so vital for our need to seek God with our whole heart; because if we are holding anything back, then those things will cause us to have to defend ourselves against the enemy, because then, the enemy will have a foothold!!! "Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all Thy commandments. I will praise Thee with uprightness of heart, when I have learned Thy righteous judgements. I will keep thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly." (Psalm 119:6-8)
