"Life Everlasting!"

"And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?" (John 11:26 KJV)

"I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life." (1 John 5:13 NLT)

Having been in a few storms, (could be in one now,) I know what it is like to feel as though everything is slipping away; the more you try to hold onto anything, the more it seems impossible to grip or hold, as it is really not mine to begin with. As a matter of fact, pretty much the only thing we can claim as our own, is our own sins.

They say, "You brought nothing into this world, and you will take nothing with you when you leave." Well, to be perfectly truthful, 'You were born in sin, and you might take those sins with you when you leave!' You don't have to, but you might; unless you confess them, and lay them at the cross!

I have heard some preachers try to say, 'You don't automatically receive eternal life when you first come to Jesus, you only receive forgiveness of your sins; the eternal life is manifested in you when you are baptized.' I do not accept that, no matter who might try to say it, or how famous they might be; it is not so!

When we are washed from our sins, we automatically have our names written in the Lamb's Book of Life! Baptism is only an outward expression of an inward work that has already been done; much like it is to confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord, we are accepting and displaying what has been done in us, already!

You can mess up your life in so many ways, maybe even to the point where you feel as though there is no way to come back to God; but that's not how this works! We are not judged by our sins, if we no longer have any sins! And, as long as we have no more sins, we are a child of God! And as long as we are a child of God, then we are guaranteed to have eternal life!

Welcome to God's Kingdom, now stop waiting for His Kingdom, and start living as a citizen of it...

"Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has become a child of God. And everyone who loves the Father loves his children, too. We know we love God's children if we love God and obey his commandments. Loving God means keeping his commandments, and commandments are not burdensome. For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God." (1 John 5:1-5 NLT)
