"Redirection"

"Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face." (Psalms 89:14)
There really is no simple way to put this, but to say, It is time for the voice of God to be heard! How else can it be said? We have been painted into a corner, mostly by ourselves, but because of our silence, the worldly kept moving us in that direction. It is just because we are not protesters and people who stand up for our rights; at least not like those who dwell here on this earth. Maybe it's because this is really not our home and we are just here waiting to go home. Why fight for something that isn't ours to begin with? I can only give you one answer for that: For our children! We have been looking at it from a totally wrong direction. Would you allow someone to come into your home and steal your children? No, I don't think you would. Would you allow someone to influence your children to turn away from God and to be subject to the eternal fires of hell? Not intentionally, I am sure; but if you have painted yourself into a corner, then your children are not in longer within reach. Sure, we can pray for them, we can try our very best to instruct them in the way they should go, we can even make them attend church on a regular basis; but between our compromises and the worlds influence, they need us to fight for their salvation and protection. You see, there is a trump card in our corner (no pun intended,) and that card is Jesus Christ. Yes, it might not make any sense whatsoever to the world, and actually is really doesn't; but our testimony is based upon the Good News, not our failures and our inabilities. More than anything else, our standing is and must always be upon the Rock! If we would just rejoice more often, celebrate our salvation with gladness, and sing out praises to the Lord, as if we were really happy to be saved, maybe just maybe our children would see the light. But nine times out of ten, we are bound to not do any of those things. Instead, we will be grumpy, bark at our children, moan and groan over finances, and argue with each other over who's right and who's wrong. It's time to let God's voice be heard, not our own; it's time to reintroduce Jesus and the Good News of what that name means. In this verse above are two very important aspects of what we should be celebrating, and what we should be proclaiming to the world: the first is that of God's holiness and righteousness, something that we seriously lack; the second, is of God's mercy, and the fact that He has provided a way for us to enter into His presence, with gladness...
"God sent a man, John the Baptist, to tell about the light so that everyone might believe because of his testimony. John himself was not the light; he was simply a witness to tell about the light. The one who is the true light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. He came into the very world he created, but the world didn't recognize him. He came to his own people, and even they rejected him. But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn -not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God. So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father's one and only Son. John testified about him when he shouted to the crowds, "This is the one I was talking about when I said, 'Someone is coming after me who is far greater than I am, for he existed long before me.'" From his abundance we have all received one gracious blessing after another. For the law was given through Moses, but God's unfailing love and faithfulness came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God. But the unique One, who is himself God, is near to the Father's heart. He has revealed God to us." (John 1:6-18) NLT
