"Living In Love"

"The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto God: He is greatly exalted." (Psalms 47:9) Talk about your need to be subdued, there is no greater need that we have than to be subdued by the love of God. At first read, you might associate this verse with those that are prepared for battle, or with those that might be gathered together for worship; and it may very well be speaking towards either one of those in relationship to worship or fighting in the army of the Lord; but I am seeing something that goes a little deeper than that, because it involves what brings those people together, which is the love of God. The "princes" are those willing subjects of the King, those that are willing to do as the King has instructed them to do; and in the case of our King, His instructions for us are very simple to follow; they might be hard, but they are very very simple, simply love; love God and love one another; it really doesn't get any more simple than that. How we complicate the simplicity of His command, is the same way the Jewish leaders complicated the law, by adding all sorts of additional requirements and practices to what God instructed; thereby making the command so cumbersome and legalistic that only those who were legal scholars could figure out how to keep it. Simply put, the source is always the best place to go for the answers, and in the case of God's love, only God is the source. In other words, we do not go through others to get to God's love, and His love is not directed through anyone to us. What I am trying to say, but obviously can't, is that God's love must come from the source in order to be authentic and pure, because only His love comes without additional requirements or practices. Everyone of us will attach some sort of requirement or practice to our conditional love for one another, and even to our conditional love for God; only God has the authentic and pure unconditional love that we need to love as He loves; and only God is the source for us to go to for unconditional love...Oh, I feel something happening...
"Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, but wine and milk without money and without price. Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto Me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. Incline your ear, and come unto Me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David." (Isaiah 55:1-3)
