"UNMOVABLE"

"Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD." (Psalms 31:24) You might have seen this picture, it should belong in every Christian's home, as a reminder that God is our protector, and no matter how disastrous things might appear, have no fear; it's a picture of a Lighthouse that is being swallowed up by the waves of the sea, and as you look closer, you will see a man standing in the midst of where the waves will meet, smiling as though he is standing there having his morning coffee, and knowing it shall be a glorious day. People who look at that picture for the first time, instantly say within themselves, and some times out loud, That guy is toast! But that is not apparent in his face, because he is one who places his trust in the Lord. That doesn't mean you should go and find a lighthouse with the same waves surrounding it, and test the Lord's deliverance out for yourself, because that might not work out so well for you; but what it does mean, is that, in whatever circumstance that you might find yourself in, to put your trust in God, and He will strengthen your heart, causing you to stand just as that man in the picture stands; unafraid and prepared for whatever God would have in store for him. And that doesn't mean that God brings the waves crashing down upon us, because He is not out to destroy us, nor does He bring death upon us; but He will allow what will happen to happen, if that is His will for our life! I can't stand the saying some people project after someone they love has been killed, as they proclaim, How could God take them from me? As if God is causing death to come to people, or has some sick way of tormenting those that are left behind. God is love, and His love is the same for each and every one of us, because He is not a unjust God, neither does He hold any one's life above that of another. Some might even think of God as the waves, crashing down upon them, as in judgement, but He does not judge in such a way; a life is taken by the death and destruction of this fallen world, and not by His hand. For those that hope in the Lord, the hope that they have is bigger than life itself, and death is not an option; but rather, it is just the end of a struggle for pure holiness... "O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord." (1 Corinthians 15:55-58)
