"Our Attendance" -3

"Keep back Thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression." (Psalms 19:13) There is one more meaning of the word "Attendance", and it has to do with role call! You know what I am talking about? It's the thing we might call 'showing up'; where we are present and ready to be used by God, as He sees fit to use us, and ready to see Him do something amazing in and through our lives. Again, a lot is riding on our ability to conform to that role of being His servant; are we willing to be that servant who will be there when He calls? I don't mean that we are prepared or think that we are prepared to serve Him, but that we are in attendance as a servant who is waiting to do His work, always just outside the sound of His voice, and expecting Him to speak that which He wants us to do. Being in that kind of readiness is where we must be in order for Him to have a control over our lives that is required to be kept us back from presumptuous sins. In other words; if we are always standing in attendance, then we are never that far out of His control. I truly believe that God wants to use to usher in His kingdom; for the time is now for those that are His children to proclaim His Word, and to shine their light for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ! In order to shine that light, we must be willing to step out from under the bushels of everything of this world that has covered His Light from shinning within us. In Matthew 5:14, Jesus says, "Ye are the light of the world, A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid". One of the things that I see Jesus saying in this, has to do with us not being of this world, but that we must be placed above this world; and in so doing, we are shinning as a light for all the world to see. It is Jesus who places us upon that hill because of the cleansing power of His blood, and because He was not of this world, and therefore we are not of this world also. That is the attendance that I am talking about; that we are those lights that are shinning for Him, and that we are always ready to be used as a light for His kingdom... "Neither do men light a candle, and put in under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father in heaven. Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one title shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled." (Matthew 5:15-18)
