ISAIAH 55:6 - "A Time To Surrender"

"I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: So shall I be saved from mine enemies." (Psalms 18:3) The Art of War... You do realize that you are in a war; Do you not? If you don't now, you will later; because the enemy will be defeated in the end, but for now, he just keeps on wrecking lives. Jesus said in Luke 13:24: "Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able." Also in Matthew 7:13 & 14 He also is talking about this 'Strait Gate': "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go to there at: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." Narrow is the way, and few there be that find it; this is because the devil has made wide the way to destruction; and as soon as you decide to really start serving the Lord, it just has gotten wider! Strange the way that works, isn't it? But really, when you stop and think about it; that is the art of war. As soon as one side begins to make progress, and they are beginning to get all of their people behind them, that is when the other side puts forth a new offensive; then there is a new direction to weaken their resolve. Normally in warfare, the battle will be waged until one side is to the point of surrender, but not this battle; because this battle is not about getting the enemy to surrender: It is about eliminating him all together; every bit of evil will be removed, once and for all. This battle is not being waged for the possession of lands; because God will make all things new; there will be a New Heaven and a New Earth. No, this battle is being waged for the possession of souls; eternal souls, that will live on for all eternity, (that means forever for those of you in CV). When Jesus said "Narrow is the Way", He was describing a crevice in a otherwise very large opening. This is an interesting thought; try and picture this with me: There is a vast canyon wall before you, and it represents eternal destruction; but all of the sudden, there is revealed a crack of light coming through the wall of this canyon: when I say crack, I mean a slit within the wall that is only wide enough to shine forth the light from the other side; it is so narrow, that you will in no way be able to get through it; but it is only wide enough to let light pass through it. So then: How do we get to pass through if only light can make it through? Hello!!! We must be transformed into light! Okay, maybe you think that is a bit extreme; but now add onto this the battle: Because behind you and pressing in around you, is a battle being waged for your soul. In front of you is this canyon wall; a vast array of destruction; so many ways to be lead into a path that is not the one; behind you, and all around is the waging war going on, that is being waged for your eternal soul; and when you do find the narrow opening that leads to life, it is to small to get through. What must a weary soul do? You think maybe it is time to Surrender? And I do not mean surrender to the enemy. No, it is time to surrender to the Light. Jesus must be Lord of our life; all of our life! We will not make it through that small crack if we are still holding onto our flesh! The crack is not wide enough for the flesh to go in! Do you see what needs to happen in your life yet? "When once the Master of the house is risen up, and hath shut the door, and you begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and He shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence you are: Then shall you say, We have eaten and drunk in Thy presence, and Thou hast taught in our streets. But He shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence you are; depart from me, all you workers of iniquity." (Luke13:25-27)
