"Logical Reasoning"

"Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them." (John 9:16 KJV)

""Come now, and let us reason together," Says the LORD, "Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool."" (Isaiah 1:18 NKJV)

It is pretty obvious that God works on the Sabbath; and since He works on the Sabbath, it is also pretty obvious that doing good works for God is also okay for man to do on the Sabbath. The logic that is being use by those who might believe Jesus is not of God, based upon keeping the Sabbath, is not based upon God's law, but is based upon man's interpretation of what God's law was meant to be for.

The way I see the Sabbath Day to be, is that we use that day for something other than our usual work: to take a rest from that which we labor on the rest of the week. Some of us spend that day focusing upon spending time with family; some will take that day to relax, by reading, chores around the house, playing golf, or just watching TV.

The Sabbath Day was made for man to take a break, give thanks to the LORD, and to basically recharge that aging body, to keep it going, for as long as God would have you to be hanging around. That is just my opinion on what God's intention was meant to be, not something that is written in stone. No matter what, every day of our lives is meant to be a day dedicated to God!

If you are able to wake up in the morning, you thank God for another day to live; and then you should pray that you are able to make it through that day. And when you go to sleep each night, you thank Him for the day you had, asking Him to allow you another day in the morning.

At least that is the way I think it should be, depending on your belief in the One who gives and takes away...

""For the life of every living thing is in his hand, and the breath of every human being."" (Job 2:10 NLT)
