"Just Believe!" - 2

"But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight." (John 9:18 KJV)

"So let us do our best to enter that rest. But if we disobey God, as the people of Israel did, we will fall." (Hebrews 4:11 NLT)

In a strange sort of way, this is very relevant to our current situation. If you have any doubt, let your doubt be in yourself, not in God! That was the lesson back then, as well as it is in our lives today! God is the one that saves us, impowers us, keeps us, and will get us through, to the glorious other side of this life, period!

What are we to do with that? It is so very simple, but sometimes it is really hard: Believe God and obey Him! 'The Preacher' summed it all up with: "That's the whole story. Here now is my final conclusion: Fear God and obey his commands. For this is everyone's duty. God will judge us for everything we do, including every secret thing, whether good or bad." (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 NLT)

It might be prudent for me to pay attention to the verse before, Verses Twelve! But my problem is that I have a very hard head...

"And since we died with Christ, we know we also live with him. We are sure of this because Christ was raised from the dead, and he will never die again. Death no longer has any power over him. When he died, he died once to break the power of sin. But now he lives, he lives for the glory of God. So you also should consider yourselves to be dead to the power of sin and alive to God through Christ Jesus. Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to sinful desires. Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God. Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God's grace." (Romans 6:8-14 NLT)
