"Strike The Match"

"Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast; for my time is not yet full come." (John 7:8 KJV)

"When we tell you these things, we do not use words that come from human wisdom. Instead, we speak words given to us by the Spirit, using the Spirit's words to explain spiritual truths. But people who aren't spiritual can't receive these truths from God's Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can't understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means. Those who are spiritual can evaluate all things, but they themselves cannot be evaluated by others. For, "Who can know the LORD'S thoughts? Who knows enough to teach him?" But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ." (1 Corinthians 2:13-16 NLT)

God has not intended for you and me to exist within a bubble, as if those around us are left outside and do not matter to the world we live in; as if the world we live in is not their world, because we all share the same experiences. That said, we might all share the same experiences, but we must, absolutely must, have totally different reactions and feelings from whatever life might throw at us!

To understand what spiritual truths are, in just about any situation, there must be some sort of knowledge to the word of God; at least to know some sort of Biblical truths, as to understand when the Word is being misinterpreted or used out of context. The Holy Spirit will also enlighten us, as some might say, prick our spirit, causing us to evaluate something that was said or done, whether or not it is Biblical truth.

Case in point: some say that Jesus was not being truthful with His brothers when He said He wasn't going to this feast; yet, in truth, Jesus said, "I go not up yet unto this feast," which puts His words in a totally different context, as to mean, 'I am not going with you; you go on ahead, yourselves.'

Just a small little detail, if there was any question to whether or not Jesus might have told a white lie or tried to be deceiving to anyone; because the Word of God clearly says: God does not lie...

"God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he not spoken, and shall he not make it good?" (Numbers 23:19 KJV)
