"Of Uncertain Affinity"

"Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is always ready." (John 7:6 KJV)

"My days are like a shadow that declineth; and I am withered like grass. But thou, O LORD, shalt endure for ever; and they remembrance unto all generations. Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come." (Psalms 102:11-13 KJV)

Oddly enough, there is really nothing to see here, because it is what it is! We have no clue whatsoever when our time shall be, or not to be; we can only assume it is always the time and that the time is always at hand! Don't let that ruin your day, because it is what it is.

Jesus, on the other hand, knew when and how He was going to die; and this was not that time! Besides, this was the Festive of Tabernacles, not the Passover. Just one more thing about His ability as the Son of God, to know things that only God can know.

Basically, the main point of this has a lot to do with a thousand, not quite sure how, but it seems to be sum what mathematical and very confusing; much like when Peter says, "that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day," because in eternity there is no time, only occurrences. If that makes any sense at all, I don't even know!

Having been on this earth for almost 64 years, (but counting the nine months in the womb, it would be almost 64 1/2,) I feel as though that is my way of remembering things, I may not remember the date, but I do remember the occurrence. By the way, I think it is proper to count those nine months in the womb, especially in these days we are living in; because every day that you have a chance to have been killed, is another day you would have been on this earth. Just saying...

"Look here, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we are going to a certain town and will stay there a year. We will do business there and make a profit." How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like a morning fog - it's here a little while, then it's gone. What you ought to say is, "If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that." Otherwise you are boasting about your own plans, and all such boasting is evil. Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it." (James 4:13-17 NLT)
