"Wondrous Power"

"Praise ye the LORD. Praise him in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power." (Psalms 150:1)

This feels a little different, being in this last chapter, or Psalm, as if it were the end of something that is never-ending. And yet, I feel as though it is something that might have just begun! Last night as I was trying to fall asleep, I kept praying that the Lord would change my life; evaluating all the things in me that might be things I could do better; thinking about the things that I could be better at; looking at the things in my life which do not bring glory to His Name. Well, it was a long night, that much I can say! This is the type of verse that makes us evaluate the space in between where we are at and where it is that we should be. Going back to that 2nd day of creation, we can see the distance that was established; not because it had to be, but because it was; it was because of God's holiness and His power. Why anyone or anything could ever think that they could be like God, it just is too much of a mystery to comprehend. And yet, the biggest issue that we see happening right now in this world, is those who want to pretend that He does not exist. This is pretty simple to see, if we just step back and look at it closely: they cannot compete, so they simply deny His existence. Well, I think they are making a very serious mistake, to say the least. What were they thinking when they were making that tower to the sky? Today is a day of prayer, and I am truly hoping that we see people coming together for prayer! If there is one thing that I might have learned, over these 38 plus years, it is that prayer changes things! If nothing else, it changes us, our families, and our outlook of the power of God to move mountains; to cause those strongholds that make us more like the world to be rooted up and destroyed. If there was one thing that I kept seeing, over and over, was the need to be separation! There must be separation between us and the world, noticeable and without a doubt. If we cannot see it in our own lives, then it surely will not be seen by anyone else...

"And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever." (Daniel 12:1-3)
