"To Be Consumed" -2

"He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and the water to flow." (Psalms 147:18)

If there is anything worthy to be said about this, it would be the pause. Sometimes, it is good just to hit the pause button; especially during the most important part of the movie; and most importantly, if there is some sort of distraction going on. I am one of those people that likes to pay attention to any movie that I might be watching; and if I am showing a movie, I get annoyed when the people that are watching it with me are not paying attention also. I know, I am just weird. Anyway, this is not just a once and done kind of experiment; this is God making good on a promise, that everything is Good! If you are like me, those of us that like to try and see the good in any situation, we tend to like to look beyond the circumstance and view the destination. It is a little like that scene in Willy Wanka, when that were all in the boat, freaky out over all the stuff flashing all around them; all the while, Willy Wanka is smiling because he knows where that ride is going to end up. The most important thing for any of us to know, is that each and every circumstance is a chance to give God the glory! Anything, and all things; no matter how critical or out of control it might seem; God does not change, and His message remains the same! Did you know, it really doesn't matter how bad it gets, people are still going to either curse Him or praise Him? It is really not the fault of the circumstance; it is all about a matter of the heart: if they love and worship God, the circumstance will warm their heart and cause them to trust Him more: if they have no respect for God, the circumstance will harden their heart and cause them to curse God, even if they know that cursing Him makes it worse. You really can't make this stuff up; besides, it is pretty much all recorded in the Bible. Maybe it comes down to who "them" might be; because them is a pretty much all of the children, those spoken of back in verse 13; or it is His word that is sent out; or it might just be those that try to stand before His cold: Who could it be? If you want to know what I think; I think it really doesn't matter; because if you are His, it's all good; but if you aren't, not so much...

"Think of it this way. If a father dies and leaves an inheritance for his young children, those children are not much better off than slaves until they grow up, even though they actually own everything their father had. They have to obey their guardians until they reach whatever age their father set. And that's the way it was before Christ came. We were like children; we were slaves to the basic principles of this world. But when the right time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, subject to the law. God sent him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children. And because we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, "Abba Father." Now you are no longer a slave but God's own child. And since you are his child, God has made you his heir." (Galatians 4:1-7) NLT
