"Confirming The Truth" -Too

"He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass." (Psalms 148:6)

You Know! That is pretty much the most confirming thing there is, that we know the truth, because the Truth lives within us! John makes a very specific statement in his second Epistle, saying, "Anyone who wanders away from this teaching has no relationship with God. But anyone who remains in the teaching of Christ has a relationship with both the Father and the Son." (2 John v.9 NLT) It is much the same as his saying in 1 John 2:19, "These people left our churches, but they never really belonged with us; otherwise they would have stayed with us. When they left, it proved that they did not belong to us." (NLT) That word, "stablished," is a word that speaks about more than just establishing something; it speaks about "To Stand" as in, to set firmly and to sustain, for ever! As much as it might get old, I must say it again: "God said it, I believe it, and that settles it!" That does not even need to be argued, because it is the truth; confirmed over and over by all of the prophets and apostles, and by millions of saints! If that does not do it, the word, "decree," is like a Rock! It is a law, much like the law of gravity states, "When a rock falls from the sky and hits you, it is going to hurt!" There is no way to change the outcome, because the outcome is definite! Why do people that come to Christ turn away? It is obviously not because of what He offers, because there is no other place where what He offers can be found! Truth be told, it is simply because they were looking for something else; an easier life, maybe; or maybe some way to feel better about their self, to feel comfortable and secure; maybe to have peace, but without any threats or trials. Last I checked, none of those things were written on His nail-pearced hands! In this life, there is only one thing that does not change, our position in Christ! Are you in? Then you know it! If there is something that you doubt, then affirm it! That does not mean you need to know everything; you just need to know the cross is where your sins were dealt with, and because He rose, you have eternal life! Everything else is left for this world to figure out, because those two things are all that really matters...

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And lets run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God's throne. Think of all the hostility he endured from sinful people; then you won't become weary and give up. After all, you have not yet given your lives in your struggle against sin." (Hebrews 12:1-4) NLT
