"Doors Shut"

"Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created." (Psalms 148:5)

   As with anything that might be considered holy, if it is holy, it is because God has made it so, to be holy as He is holy. We don't get to make the rules here; the rules are established by God, and those rules give glory to His name, one way or another. It is a little like that saying, "So let it be written, so let it be done," once God commands it, its done! I know I have shared on this before, but it is important and needs to be shared again. To the question of whether or not anyone can loose their salvation, it is really not possible to loose something that is not yours; because our salvation belongs to the Lord! Sure, we hold onto it, and we make use of it; but it belongs to Him, and as such, it is His to loose or to keep secure: and He never looses anything! If we have been born again, we are born in the Spirit, which is eternal; that means the life we have been born into changes from the here and now, to the beginning and the end; it is a whole new ballgame, where all that was before has passed away, and all things are new, and they are of God! (2 Corinthians 5:17-18) It is a little bit like what is said about marriage: "What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder." (Mark 10:9) It was Jesus that said those words, as He was asked about divorce, and whether or not it was lawful for a man to put away his wife. If we are truly honest, divorce is nothing less than giving up! It is the same reason that God hates it so much, because He never gives up on us! I am under the careful belief that our free will is surrendered once we give our lives to Him. I say careful, because we must be careful to remember it! If you have ever read that little book, "My Heart Christ's Home," then you understand what I mean. When He knocks at the door, and we let Him in, He shuts the door! Our ability to practice our free will just got altered; no pun intended! We know Who's we are, because our lives have been drastically change; we know that even more when we are squeezed, because the stuff that comes out is of God...

"Say this to those who worship other gods: "Your so-called gods, who did not make the heavens and earth, will vanish from the earth and from under the heavens." But God made the earth be his power; and he preserves it by his wisdom. With his own understanding he stretched out the heavens. When he speaks in the thunder, the heavens roar with rain. He causes the clouds to rise over the earth. He sends lightning with the rain and releases the wind from his storehouses. The whole human race is foolish and has no knowledge! The craftsmen are disgraced by the idols they make, for their carefully shaped works are a fraud. Those idols have no breath or power. Idols are worthless; they are ridiculous lies! On the day of reckoning they will all be destroyed. But the God of Israel is no idol! He is the Creator of everything that exists, including Israel, his own special possession.
