"God, The Great Keeper"

"Remove from me reproach and contempt; for I have kept thy testimonies." (Psalms 119:22)

Just in case you did not know it, I forgot to mention that "rebuked" is not something we should be afraid or ashamed of; it is God's hand upon us as His children; those that are His, He will reprove! As with the children of Israel being delivered from Egypt, God delivered them out of Egypt in a day, but it took 40 years to get Egypt out of them. It really does not matter what happens to us in the horizontal life here on this earth, what matters most to us is what happens in the vertical life. There are some things more important than health, wealth, and pleasures. That great day when we will stand before God, in that day we must put all of our trust and hope! That is the day when the "Whosoever's" will be revealed: "Whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." (Revelation 20:15) Which "Whosoever" do you want to be? The whosoever that believes in the "Only Begotten Son," or those not written in the "Lamb's Book of Life?" It would be nice to be removed from reproach and contempt, but even still, it is better to be kept in the might hand of God. Here is where it gets serious, when we start thinking that the reproach and contempt that man might put upon us is somehow related to how God feels about us; because nothing could be further from the truth. We must keep our focus upon the Lord! Abiding in Christ is our number one priority; and as far as Christ Jesus is concerned for us, it is His promise to never leave us nor forsake us...

"So let us go out to him, outside the camp, and bear the disgrace he bore. For this world is not our permanent home; we are looking for a home yet to come." (Hebrews 13:13-14) NLT
