"God The Great Giver!"

"Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed, which do err from thy commandments." (Psalms 119:21)

Since we are still talking about the vertical law, here are some facts that we need to know about how this really works. For one, as nice and as pleasant as it is to think about, there is only one way for us to get into heaven, through Jesus Christ! The second law, which much the same as the first, is that there is nothing we can possibly do on our own to remove the curse of sin; that is what we were born with, and unless the blood of Jesus washes those sins away, we will die with the same curse! This verse is me, over and over! Oh, I know I was saved from my sins back in September of 1981; but there are still sins that I commit, some little, and some that I care not to even think about. But, here is the thing about what we have that is different from the ones who refuse to accept God's free give of Salvation, we are no longer under the curse! I might get a little pride in me for a season or so, but thankfully, it is God that called me out of the darkness and into His marvelous Light; which means, for those that might need a little help, that God will finish what He started! You know that phrase that everyone loves to quote when talking about giving money; well the phrase, "You can't out give God," takes on a whole new meaning when it comes to our eternal Salvation! There is nothing we can do to earn it, and there is no way that we can buy it; it is the only thing, worth more than anything, that we are all equally able to receive; each and everyone of us qualify to be a "Whosoever!" Talk about a thing to be thankful for on Thanksgiving! The Great Giver of all good gifts has given His Greatest...

"So all who put their faith in Christ share the same blessing Abraham received because of his faith. But those who depend on the law to make them right with God are under his curse, for the Scriptures say, "Cursed is everyone who does not observe and obey all the commands that are written in God's Book of the Law." So it is clear that no one can be made right with God by trying to keep the law. For the Scriptures say, "It is through faith that a righteous person has life." This way of faith is very different from the way of the law. which says, "It is through obeying the law that a person has life." But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree." Through Christ Jesus, God has blessed the Gentiles with the same blessings he promised to Abraham, so that we who are believers might receive the promised Holy Spirit through faith." (Galatians 3:9-14) NLT
