"Can You See?" - 2

"This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die." (John 6:50 KJV)

""For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope."" (Jeremiah 29:11 NLT)

Just in case you might be a little concerned about anything I might have said, let me assure you, that anything that is broken can, and will, be fixed! God is not surprised by anything that we might do! We do not confess our sins because He needs to forgive us: we confess our sins to God, so that we might be forgiven! It is us: we are the ones that change and need to be fixed: God never needs to be fixed or have His mind changed about us, because He does not change!

I guess a better way to put that, would be to say, God has already forgiven us, He is just waiting for us to ask Him for what is already there waiting for us to receive. Maybe you don't see it the way I see it, because, there are so many of us who need to be reminded, myself included. God chose you and called you to Himself, knowing full well everything that was in your heart, and He does not make mistakes!

James says, "But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death." (James 1:14-15 KJV) As illustrated above by Jesus, He is that bread which gives life; anyone that eats of Him, will not die! So then, where is the rub? Because that is the biggest problem we deal with, our misunderstanding about the importance of God's forgiving us, again and again!

If there is one thing that we need to get through our thick heads, it is that God is always willing and ready to forgive us for our sins, because He already has! He has forgiven you then, knowing full well what you would be doing now, and that forgiveness back then, is the same forgiveness now; and when you need it tomorrow, it will still be that same forgiveness you received today.

Simply put, the Bread that came down from heaven to be eaten, was only eaten once; Jesus only needed to die once for our sins, and that one offering took care of everything; we, on the other hand, need to be washed just about every day! I believe this is called, "The Christian Bar of Soap," so rub it on daily...

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9 KJV)
