"Keep On Praising!"

"Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion." (Psalms 147:12)

Besides the fact that He is Almighty, He never stops loving us; even in our lowest state, He loves us! I just can't get over that, that as much as I fail to do what I want to do, and end up doing what I don't want to do, He never stops loving me and He never stops speaking into my life. What else should we do, but simply praise Him! There are some things I know, having been taught and shown certain moments from the characters in the Bible: the easiest thing that we can do, is to simply praise God for His great goodness! No matter what we might be going through, or how terrible our situation might be, it is always easy to praise God; even in the moment, that moment of our very last breath. As to that "matter" of what the matter might be, I do not think any matter is hidden from God. I was thinking about this last night, and it appears to me that God's forgiveness and mercy covers every single bit of my sin; it absolutely eliminates all sin! That includes the sins from yesterday, today, and tomorrow; there is no sin that He cannot remove from the record, because the record is swept away! Don't you know that Solomon knew that? That He believed in the power of the blood of the Christ that was to come! It might not sometimes look pretty, but holding onto the mercy that God is holding out to us, requires us to just reach out and grab hold; fearfully, thankfully, and joyfully, all at once praising Him for His wonderful goodness. His mercies are new every morning; thankfully, they are new...

"And in that day thou shalt say, O LORD, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me. Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. And in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted. Sing unto the LORD; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth. Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee." (Isaiah 12)
