"The Head Stone"

"The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner." (Psalms 118:22)

Of all the mysteries of God, the one that goes deeper than any other, is the mystery of Christ. Jesus said it Himself: "Search the Scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me." (John 5:39) When John concluded his Gospel, he left off saying, "And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written." (John 21:25) There is such power in His name, that at the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow! The division that is caused by simply mentioning His name; you can bring up God as a topic, or even as Deity, but you start to mention the name of Jesus, and people react differently. It is really funny how that works, because Jesus said, "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." As hard as it is to understand, the who idea of man's need to be saved offends people and causes them to feel dirty and uncomfortable. It leaves a stain, a stain of guilt and shame; even the most hardened heart cannot ignore that stain forever. The only thing that helps to blot it out is more sinfulness and wickedness; thus, the whole explanation of the fury displayed by the Jews against Jesus. They really didn't have a choice, it was either go all out, or give in; and giving in was not the plan, as spoken in the verse above. There are so many places in the Scriptures that speak of Christ, I believe that we can find the Gospel message on every single page, in every single chapter of every single Book, because they all speak of Jesus Christ...

"Then I asked the angel, "What are these, my lord? What do they mean?" "Don't you know?" the angel asked. "No, my lord," I replied. Then he said to me, "This is what the LORD says to Zerubbabel: It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of Heaven's Armies. Nothing, not even a mighty mountain, will stand in Zerubbabel's way; it will become a level plain before him! And when Zerubbabel sets the final stone of the Temple in place, the people will shout: 'May God bless it! May God bless it!'"" (Zechariah 4:4-7) NLT
