"Place of Protection" -2

"The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly." (Psalms 118:15)

To get a little more personal, these "tabernacles" being spoken of, they are you and I; we are the ones that God has accounted righteous, those of us that have been washed in the blood of Jesus Christ. If there was an easy way to illustrate what is being said, it would be for the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit, who is in fact God, to be regarded as the "Tabernacle," or His dwelling place. We are those that have the Holy Spirt dwelling within us, therefore, we are the "tabernacles." So, it is easy for us to understand why "rejoicing and salvation" are what we should be speaking about; for our conversation is in heaven, as the Holy Spirit moves us and places these things upon our hearts. There is really no other hiding place that we have, but in the righteousness of Jesus Christ! If I could put into a single sentence, I would say exactly what Paul declares in Romans 8:1, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." If we are those that walk after the Spirit, then we are constantly in check; the Holy Spirit keeps us in check, constantly at war with the flesh, and always pressing forward to allow His perfect work in our lives. We might not be perfect, only Jesus Christ was perfect; but by the righteousness of Christ Jesus, we are made perfect in Him; Him who sits at the Father's right hand...

"Sing a new song to the LORD, for he has done wonderful deeds. His right hand has won a mighty victory; his holy arm has shown his saving power! The LORD has announced his victory and has revealed his righteousness to every nation! He has remembered his promise to love and be faithful to Israel. The ends of the earth have seen the victory of our God. Shout to the LORD, all the earth; break out in praise and sing for joy! Sing your praise to the LORD with the harp, with the harp and melodious song, with trumpets and the sound of the ram's horn. Make a joyful symphony before the LORD, the King!" (Psalms 98:1-6) NLT
