"Our New Address"

"Thou preparedst room before it, and didst cause it to take deep root, and it filled the land." (Psalms 80:9) You see, whether you can except it or not, technically you are already in heaven. I know that for some, it's almost a no-brainer to accept it to be so; yet others, those that are a little less adventurous, they might not even want to explore the thought. But in reality, and in God's point of view, we are saints in a foreign land that is not our real home; so why not make it our point of view also? I know I mentioned the before, but I heard Dr. Chuck reference a movie called "The Thirteenth Floor" in one of his messages about 'Space-Time Continuum.' He really gets very deep into some very interesting thoughts about what is real and what we think is real; things like the spiritual world being much more real than the physical world that we see. I realized long before I was ever a Christian that God was real; if you spend enough time looking up into the sky at night, you will have no other choice but to reach that same conclusion. It not really a matter of just believing in God, it's a matter of accepting God's terms of restoration. How hard could be to just accept something that is freely given? Therein is the proof about the spiritual world and the physical! Those that are spiritually blind cannot see the evidence of the truth and their desperate need for redemption; they can't even see that they need restoration! We are not one with the universe; so you just need to get that silly notion out of your head; but you can be one with God! Do you know that you are one with God? Do you know it when your bad, as well as when your good? Yes, you know that you do! He's your Father in Heaven, that place where you call home; and no matter what, it's your home! That my dear friend is what restoration is to me: I have a Father in Heaven that loves me, and I have accepted His love; a love that was demonstrated to me by the fact that He gave His Son to reconcile me back to Himself...
"Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins. You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil -the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature we were subject to God's anger, just like everyone else. But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God's grace that you have been saved!) For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness towards us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus." (Ephesians 2:1-7) NLT
