"Progression" -2

"Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: Thou settlest the furrows thereof: Thou makest it soft with showers: Thou blessest the springing thereof." (Psalms 65:10) Where are you in your walk with the Lord? I would tend to think that I am currently in a wilderness journey; not that it is a bad thing, but it is more about being prepared for what's ahead. If you study the wilderness journey of the children of Israel, they needed to be prepared for crossing into the land that God had chosen for them. That is important for us to see, because God choose where He was going to place them, they did not chose it. It really does not matter where you are in your walk with the Lord, as long as you are walking with Him. Some people will try to tell you that you need to be here, or there; or maybe they might try and convince you that your missing out on something by not doing what they are dong. But it really is more about being exactly where God wants you to be; whether that's dealing with something beyond your ability to overcome, or just sitting there waiting for God's direction for your next move, as long as you are keeping your eyes on Jesus, your progressing forward. I tend to think we pay way too much attention on what others are doing, and less attention on what God is doing in us. How often do we hear a message and think, Oh, so and so needs to hear this, because they are doing this or that; when actually, God was speaking to you regarding something He wants to work out in your life? More than we care to think about, is what I think. God just wants to work things out in us, each and every one of us that are His children; we all have issues, and God has the perfect solution for each and every one of them; if we would just pay attention and listen to what He is telling us! Stop thinking that His directions are for others, and start applying what He tells you to your own life first; if there is a change that needs to happen, it needs to start in me... "Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever! Now our knowledge is partial and incomplete, and even the gift of prophecy reveals only part of the whole picture! But when the time of perfection comes, these partial things will become useless. When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things. Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely. Three things will last forever - faith, hope, and love - and the greatest of these is love." (1 Corinthians 13:8-13) NLT
