"Insurmountable" -2

"They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at Thy tokens: Thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evenings to rejoice." (Psalms 65:8) Why is that, you might wonder; Why is it even the subject of discussion? Let's imagine for a moment that the earth was flat, and if it were, the edges were the places where you would dwell if you had a relationship with God; the innermost parts were where everyone of the world dwelt, and where all the action was, but the "uttermost parts" were where those that did not want to be part of the action dwelt. I know it might seem silly, but for the sake of time, humor me for just a moment. Another way to look at it, would be that those on the uttermost parts are no longer under the law, and no longer slaves to sin; while those on the innermost parts are still under the law, and are slaves to sin. The thing about being "afraid" is not the act of being fearful, it is to be in awe. To boast about something that seems to push back at God's love is not "to be in awe" at His "tokens"; His tokens which represent His banner, or His standard, or even His distinguishing mark. In other words, those that dwell in the outside edges choose to remain apart from the world; they might step into the middle from time to time, but that's not where they choose to live; it is not where they are comfortable, so they do not live there. I think John puts it the clearest, when he says, "They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not of us." (1 John 2:19) As to the second part of this verse, there is something extremely important about the rising and the setting of the sun, and I really hope we do not forget how important it is, because God has designed it to be so, and in it, there is hope. For those that are His children, every day is a new day in Christ! Every day is another day to look forward to His return, and to prepare ourselves to be ready; we have that desire in our hearts, because the Holy Spirit within us makes us want to ready; now it's just the matter of trying to be obedient to what the Spirit tells you to do. Today is a new day, yesterday is behind me; yesterday equals chose, while today equals choose; try and choose right...
"Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to sinful desires. Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God. Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God's grace. Well then, since God's grace has set us free from the law, does that mean we can go on sinning? Of course not! Don't you realize that you become the slave of whatever you choose to obey? You can be a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God, which leads to righteous living. Thank God! Once you were slaves of sin, but now you wholeheartedly obey this teaching we have given you. Now you are free from the slavery of sin, and you have become slaves to righteous living." (Romans 6:12-18)
