"Distinguished"

"Thou crownest the year with Thy goodness; and Thy paths drop fatness." (Psalms 65:11) Before I get going on this, I must address the importance of what that last verse was making clear, that God is the one that waters and causes the growth in us; He establishes what it is that springs forth from our lives, whether it be teaching or simply standing in the gap; and it is all established in love! How important is it for us to know how much God cares for us? It is about the most important thing that trusting in God is based upon. If we trust in God, then we have settled this issue in our hearts, and now our only issue is to live out what our faith is based upon. This is where the Holy Spirit becomes more than just a guide, He becomes a Helper! We cannot do this on our own! I don't care how strong you might think that you are, your only as strong as the faith you have in God's ability to get the job done. Is He a miracle working God for you? or are you still holding out for a sign that He cares? Really, it pretty much comes down to that; do we totally and completely have trust in our God to do what is best for us? I am not talking about as a people, I'm talking about individually, as a child of the KING; because if that's what we are, then we need to know that He is watching out for us, and because He is watching out for us, He is there to help! The only reason that we can have any power whatsoever over being tempted is because the Holy Spirit lives within us; that's the whole point of being born again, that we are alive with the Spirit of God in us. Prior to our new birth we were spiritually dead; separated from God due to sin, we had no power whatsoever over sin, because we were slaves to sin; born in sin, we had no other choice. But now we have a choice; now we can choose to be slaves to God's righteousness; and to ensure that we can, God's Spirit is alive in us to make it happen. Do we see the connection? Is God mighty to save or what? If He tells us to do something, then it must be something that we can do, otherwise He would not have asked us to it! But, like the writer of Hebrews said, "Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin." (Hebrews 12:4) But have you even tried God? This is for me...
"So take a new grip with your tired hands and strengthen your weak knees. Mark out a straight path for your feet so that those who are weak and lame will not fall but become strong. Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for who are not holy will not see the Lord. Look after each other so that none of you fails to receive the grace of God. Watch out that no poisonous root of bitterness grows up to trouble you, corrupting many." (Hebrews 12:12-15) NLT
