"The Futility of Political Power"

  "It is better to be a poor but wise youth than an old and foolish king who refuses all advise. Such a youth could rise from poverty and succeed. He might even become king, though he has been in prison. But then everyone rushes to the side of yet another youth who replaces him. Endless crowds stand around him, but then another generation grows up and rejects him, too. So it is all meaningless - like chasing the wind." (Ecclesiastes 4:13-16 NLT) 

  "He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill; that he may set him with princes, even the princes of his people." (PSALMS 113:7-8 KJV) 

 If I made this too much about myself, I meant it to be something to motivate me, hoping to be ready for whatever might happen. Crazy weather we are having, but it causes everyone to focus upon the climate, taking their eyes off the real heat that is coming. Besides, we must know that these are the times that we must be ready!

 There are a couple of different ways we can look at Solomon's thoughts being presented in this portion of Scripture; that is, if these are actually Solomon's thoughts! I will try to say it again, but this time with a little less passion. God ordains and speaks through every single writer of the Holy Scriptures; nothing that is written in these 66 Books, which have been penned by 40 authors, has not been ordained by and made to speak for God. 

 Now, that is something which is completely up to you to accept or reject; nothing is forced upon any of us, we either accept it as God's Living Word, or we can question bits and pieces, as if they really don't count. I would caution anyone that takes any portion of this Book out, thinking that it does not belong to be in there; there will be repercussions... 

"For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book. If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: and if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly: Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus." (Revelation 22:18-20 KJV)
