"Life and Hope"

"Yea, better is he then both they, which hath not yet been, who hath not seen the evil work that is done under the sun." (Ecclesiastes 4:3 KJV)

"As they led Jesus away, a man named Simon, who was from Cyrene, happened to be coming in from the countryside. The soldiers seized him and put the cross on him and made him carry it behind Jesus. A large crowd trailed behind, including many grief-stricken women. But Jesus turned and said to them, "Daughters of Jerusalem, don't weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. For the days are coming when they will say, 'Fortunate indeed are the women who are childless, the wombs that have not borne a child and the breasts that have never nursed.' People will beg the mountains, 'Fall on us,' and plead with the hills, 'Bury us.' For if these things are done when the tree is green, what will happen when it is dry?"" (Luke 23:26-31 NLT)

Today we see the negative side of life without hope. As we have seen, especially in these current times we live in, couples are weary about raising children because of the current culture and issues that are taking over the world. Once upon a time, the more children you had, the better life you lived; now if there are more than a few, you have too many, and worry about what might happen to them.

This is really not that hard to deal with, if we could just see it through the eyes of the Lord! Every life is precious in His eyes; every life that is born, is meant to bring hope. Even a life that is born with a real deformity, if there is life, then there is hope!

We can better understand this with the life of Jesus, so called, "The Man of Sorrows," He was born to die for our sins, yet it was the Father's will that it should happen, even though it was a terrible thing for all to see, especially those that loved Him!

We pray for our children and hope that they are kept safe in this wicked world; but just because this world is evil and can do them harm, is no reason to not give them a chance to live and to have a purpose to do whatever they were created for: whether life is short or long we all can serve a purpose...

""For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope."" (Jeremiah 29:11 NLT)
