"The Established Hour" - TO

"And Jesus answered, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified." (John 12:23 KJV)

"But it was the LORD'S good plan to crush him and cause him grief. Yet when his life is made an offering for sin, he will have many descendants. He will enjoy a long life, and the LORD'S good plan will prosper in his hands. When he sees all that is accomplished by his anguish, he will be satisfied. And because of his experience, my righteous servant will make it possible for many to be counted righteous, for he will bear all their sins. I will give him the honor of a victorious soldier, because he exposed himself to death. He was counted among the rebels. He bore the sins of many and interceded for rebels." (Isaiah 53:10-12 NLT)

Besides all of that, the demons knew exactly who Jesus was, and they trembled. So, knowing who He is, even though it is good to know, does not make you a child of God; the devil and those that follow him also know, having an allegiance against Him, even though they know they cannot win! Isn't that strange? Why would they take on God, as if they had some chance to overcome?

If you do not know this by now, I hope you believe me when I say this; because the devil knows that he will not win, yet he wants to take as many of us with him into the pit! "Misery loves company," as my mother would always say. Basically, it is all about envy!

That said, this hour that Jesus is talking about, is the whole reason that the devil is what he is! Before God had determined to make the earth and place man upon it, He had established a way to redeem mankind, to give them the ability to be righteous and holy, as He is, righteous and holy. Thereby, man would be judge over the angels, which caused the rebellion in Heaven; Lucifer and one third of the angels were ejected from heaven and were cast to the earth. (Revelation 12:4)

Jesus had to come down from heaven and be born as a man, that He could break the curse, which was given to Adam, the first man that God created. Jesus, in essence, became the second Adam, meaning that He was created by God in the womb of a virgin, Mary. Although, instead of being just a man, He came as God in the form of a man, in order to die the death of a criminal on the cross.

There is something we need to know, because the devil knew from the very beginning what was going to happen; that which is established by God cannot not be undone! If God has made it to happen, then it is going to happen, no matter who wants to stop it, it cannot be stopped! Think of that and realize that now that you have been made child of God, you have been adopted into God's family!

Anywho, that is the question that Jesus has answered: we are His treasure, and He is not going to throw us away, no way, no how! Adopted children are chosen children, having right standing with God...

"Think of it this way. If a father dies and leaves an inheritance for his young children, those children are not much better off than slaves until they grow up, even though they actually own everything their father had. They have to obey their guardians until they reach whatever age their father set. And that's the way it was with us before Christ came. We were like children; we were slaves to the basic spiritual principles of this world. But when the right time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, subject to the law. God sent him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so he could adopt us as his very own children. And because we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, "Abba, Father." Now you are no longer a slave but God's own child. And since you are his child, God has made you his heir." (Galatians 4:1-7 NLT)
