"The Familiar Voice"

"And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice." (John 10:4 KJV)

"And have you forgotten the encouraging words God spoke to you as his children? He said, "My child, don't make light of the LORD'S discipline, and don't give up when he corrects you. For the LORD disciplines those he loves, and he punishes each one he accepts as his child."" (Hebrews 12:5-6 NLT)

This might not seem like the right topic for this verse, but it is the right topic for this time! Be alert and keep the faith, is the point of this discussion, because the time has come when those who are sitting on the fence to make a choice. That is not my opinion, it is just a fact based upon the momentum of the spreading darkness over this earth.

Those of you who might be keeping up with what is going on in our schools, should know by now, they are not letting up on this position of sexual identity; as a matter of fact, they are increasing the stand and somehow feel embolden to make it more popular. What that means, is that there are fewer people who are standing against what is going on, because they are not wanting to be challenged.

Anywho! That's all I will say about that, because I need to make this about Jesus! Something I learned quite a long time ago, but sometimes forget: God will not let you stray too far away from Him! We might think that we are getting away with something and He isn't interested in what we are doing; but if you are His child, He will keep you from going over the edge!

The big question I think is needed, is about the degree of the edge; meaning, what is the edge? and how far will you go? I guess the best way to see this, is not to look at your own life, but to watch the lives of those around you, those that are within your circle. People are watching you, because they need to know that He is real!

I don't know, maybe that is a little over the top? All I know is that we are here for a reason, other than our own salvation. If it was just about us, then God would have taken me long ago, because this really seems as though it isn't getting any easier...

"But you, my dear friends, must remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ said. They told you that in the last times there would be scoffers whose purpose in life is to satisfy their ungodly desires. These people are the ones who are creating divisions among you. They follow their natural instincts because they do not have God's Spirit in them. But you, dear friends, must build each other up in the most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit, and await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring you eternal life. In this way, you will keep yourselves safe in God's love. And you must show mercy to those whose faith is wavering. Rescue others by snatching them from the flames of judgment. Show mercy to still others, but do so with great caution, hating the sins that contaminate their lives." (Jude 17-23 NLT)
