"The Door!"

"Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep." (John 10:7 KJV)

"And so dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven's Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. By his death, Jesus opened the curtain into the Most Holy Place. And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God's house, let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ's blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water." (Hebrews 10:19-22 NLT)

Maybe it is just a little too complicated to figure everything out; but we really don't need to even try to figure out everything, we only need to know what it takes to get through the Door! Once we have been entered in, everything else is just amazingly good and every worry is gone!

As we were going through chapter nine of Ecclesiastes yesterday, there was one perfect picture that became very aware to me about what Solomon was trying to explain. He kept using the term, "Under the sun," which, if you pay close attention, actually represents this world, as in, 'this place that is under the sun.' We that live under this sun are going to die, under the sun!

Amazingly, we don't have to except that reality! Yes, it is real, death that is, is completely and certainly going to happen, for everything under the sun; but, for those under the Son, death is not a threat or anything to fear, because it opens us up to the windows of Heaven! That is what Jesus Christ has done, as the Door: He is eternal life!

To make matters even better and less complicated, He is not only the Door into the sheepfold, but once inside, He is also the Shepherd! He has everything handled...

"For God has imprisoned everyone in disobedience so he could have mercy on everyone. Oh, how great are God's riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his ways! For who can know the LORD'S thoughts? Who knows enough to give him advice? Who has given him so much that he needs to pay it back? For everything comes from him and exists by his power and is intended for his glory. All glory to him forever! Amen." (Romans 11:32-36 NLT)
