"Believe!" -Too

"And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him." (John 9:38 KJV)

"The LORD is compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. He will not constantly accuse us, nor remain angry forever. He does not punish us for all our sins; he does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve. His unfailing love toward those who fear him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west." (Psalm 103:8-12 NLT)

Some people wonder why God made the heavens so vast and ominous, as if there must be some other life out there, or else it's just wasted space. There is a reason for everything that God has made, even that which might seem either overdone or a mistake: that we might fall in love with Him by our own free will!

I have had debates with some of my brothers and sisters, mostly brothers, about the meaning of Psalms 103:12, as to the direction and the continuity thereof. I have heard it said, "If you continue to walk east, you will always walk east, until you turn and start walking west." Actually, that was from one of my early mid-week Bible Studies, while I was still at the facility where accepted the Lord.

There are two ways to look at that illustration; one is from our point of view, the other is from God's. We know full well what we do and when we don't do what God wants; we know for certain that we are in a place which is contrary to the direction God has for our lives. At least I hope and pray that is the case, because if we don't realize when we sin, then there is truly something missing from our lives.

Forget about all of the confusion and the practical meanings to east verses west! Because, God, and God alone is the Judge! And if He says that your sins are forgiven, then there is nothing left to the matter, other than you to be thankful and worship Him for what He has done!

Besides that, He is the One who keeps this ball spinning round and round; it is that motion that makes east and west far apart: which, in case you might not have figured it out, is only done and continually done by Jesus Christ...

"Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can't see - such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together. Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So he is first in everything. For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ's blood on the cross." (Colossians 1:15-20 NLT)
