"Confounded?"

"But, lo, he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing unto him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ?" (John 7:26 KJV)

"For mine enemies speak against me; and they that lay wait for my soul take counsel together, saying, God hath forsaken him: persecute and take him; for there is none to deliver him. O God, be not far from me: O my God; make haste for my help. Let them be confounded and consumed that are adversaries of my soul; let them be covered with reproach and dishonour that seek my hurt. But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more." (Psalms 71:10-14 KJV)

Well, I was going to chew on verse 25 a little more; but I really only had one more point to make: Although the enemy of my soul may want to consume me: God is far more powerful, and He wants me more! It is really amazing when we have a God that loves us, because His love is stronger than the hate of anyone else! More than that, He has the power to make His love do something spectacular!

If you could be a fly on the wall, who do you think would be more confused, these of Jerusalem, or you? The conversation is seemingly lost between the thickness of the trees: on the one hand, they say, 'Isn't this he they seek to kill,' yet on the other, they say, 'Do the know he is the Christ?' If they did know He was the Christ, would they seriously be seeking to kill Him?

Just so you know, the harder that we get pressed, the more the world gets squeezed out of us; the more the world gets squeezed out of us, the more the Holy Spirit is revealed in our lives. It is just how it works, as the Scripture says, "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." (1 John 4:4 KJV)

The question some might ask, is, 'When did we actually overcome the world?' "When?" you might ask! It was on that day when you asked Jesus to come into your heart! That was the day in which you said no to this world and said yes to Jesus! The world kept holding you back, but you finally gave up, and gave your life over to Christ: You overcame...

"All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation, and we have a priceless inheritance - an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay. And through your faith, God is protecting you by his power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see." (1 Peter 1:3-5 NLT)
