"Statement of Fact"

"Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest." (John 4:35 KJV)

"Let this be recorded for future generations, so that a people not yet born will praise the LORD. Tell them the LORD looked down from his heavenly sanctuary. He looked down to earth from heaven to hear the groans of the prisoners, to release those condemned to die. And so the LORD'S fame will be celebrated in Zion, his praises in Jerusalem, when multitudes gather together and kingdoms come to worship the LORD." (Psalm 102:18-22 NLT)

Before you think I have lost anything, you need to understand where I stand, and why. I believe with all my heart that life is sacred and we are not to disrespect that which God has established and sustains. It is God that gives and takes away; we must endure, and when our time has come, endure unto tomorrow! It has got to be that way for our tent, as well as for those that God has placed in our care: we are to be the caregivers, not the takers of life. Only God gets to take a life, in His time: PERIOD!

Okay, we can move on into this beautiful illumination of God's Word! It just so happens that I have this passage, or a portion thereof, displayed on my living room wall, which was something a group of women from the church embroidered when we moved the church from Palo Cedro to Shasta Lake. They were primarily mothers of some of the High School youth; many of which were living in Shasta Lake City.

Truth be told, not everyone was excited about the move; some of our Palo Cedro people were not all that willing to fellowship in Shasta Lake; much as this particular place that is being shown to us today, it was really frowned upon as a place to avoid. As sad as that might be, it is really not all that uncommon for those that might feel some people are below them, therefore they don't want to go down to their level, per say.

Anywho; here is the deal with this, spectacular view. As has been told, the view from where Jesus was speaking, in this exact moment, was that of men who were making there way up the mountain from the village below. Supposedly, it was the custom for the men of this region to wear white turbans on their heads; so you can imagine what the view might have looked like from above.

In case you might be wondering where this is going; some say, It has much to do with everything else...

""Will you discredit my justice and condemn me just to prove you are right? Are you as strong as God? Can you thunder with a voice like his? All right, put on your glory and splendor, your honor and majesty. Give vent to your anger. Let it overflow against the proud. Humiliate the proud with a glance; walk on the wicked where they stand. Bury them in the dust. Imprison them in the world of the dead. Then even I would praise you, for your own strength would save you."" (Job 40:8-14 NLT)
