"No Fickle Pickle"

"So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum. When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judea into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death. Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe. The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die. Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way." (John 4:46-50 KJV)

"Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever." (Hebrews 13:8 KJV)

Sorry for the shortness of words yesterday; it was very difficult to do what I did, but I promise to make it up to you. About the strange thing, which I wanted so bad to get to yesterday; why anyone who says that they are a believer, and does not respect and honor someone that represents God, there is something that is wrong in the heart of that individual. Sad to say, they usually will not see it; and if you try to confront them about it, the result is usually not the one that you were hoping for.

Moving on to something more pleasant to talk about, this is a little more like a slight of hand, if you will, where Jesus takes the opportunity to create an example of what makes a true believer. A true believer is that which will believe based upon the Word! Signs and wonders are not the things which make a person believe, as they will not see signs and wonders all the time; and some signs and wonders are only for getting the attention of those that need to hear the word of God.

Besides that, there are false signs and wonders, which will take people down the very wrong path; so it is best to focus upon the Word, and not be caught up in the entertainment. This is the case with the nobleman, who believed the word of Jesus, not expecting to first see a sign. The sign which he was about to see was based upon the word that he believed!

This is so vitally important and something we must never loose sight of, ever! It is the Word in us that is the proof, the sign, the mighty wonder that we must look for; not something that might be flashed before our eyes, but something that is birthed within our hearts and minds...

"So get rid of all evil behavior. Be done with all deceit, hypocrisy, jealousy, and all unkind speech. Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment, now that you have had a taste of the Lord's kindness." (1 Peter 2:1-3 NLT)
