"The Break-Down"

"I went down into the garden of nuts to see the fruits of the valley, and to see whether the vine flourished, and the pomegranates budded." (S.O.S. 6:11)

Most of what I understand about the Gospel Message, is that we are broken, that God provided the fix, and that we basically just need to accept what He has provided. After that, our main responsibility as a fixed broken vessel, is to show others how much God loves them and how much He wants to fix them too. Not all that complicated, unless we become selfish and start living for this world! That, my friend, is the complete truth of what it all comes down to: "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon." (Matthew 6:24)

That said, I believe Solomon was God's perfect vessel for making God's case! By far, Solomon was blessed with riches and honor above any other king, just as God had promised He would do, (1 Kings 3:13). If this is a portrait of Solomon, then this, if you will, is a picture of Solomon taking a census; looking over all that God has fulfilled in his life, and taking it in, as if to admire and exalt all that he has become.

Understand, this is not what is portrayed in the normal observation; it is simply that which I have felt the Lord is showing me and has been telling me, since the very start. When I first started this, I had given a breakdown on the several different illustrations and messages derived from this Book; the one that struck my heart the most, was the one about the simple girl, enticed and pulled away from her simple shepherd lover, only to free herself from that, ending up back with her simple shepherd.

This is not that illustration, per say, this is something based upon that theory, but where the opposing characters are based upon them being the world and the Lord. Something that is not won and done in our hearts; I don't care who you are, how much commitment you think you might have to God, or even if you really don't even care about earthly treasures! If you are wearing flesh, your flesh wants to be cared for!

Basic instinct of the spirit that is within us, is envy; there is always something missing, something that you don't have that you feel that you want. When you see yourself satisfied with earthly treasure, you notice the simply joy and pleasures in those that have not! Of all the important things in this world, none is more important than that of sharing what God has done in you! It is the basic instinct of the Spirit that is now in you; not doing so, is what you would call, Quenching the Spirit!

If you want a simple illustration of the basic instinct of our original spirit, it is seen in Adam as he was naming the animals; after which, God observed: "It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him." (Genesis 2:18) Don't let this fool you, God does not learn; He reacts to that which man learns, and He fixes man! It is what He has set out to do all along...

"You my think you can condemn such people, but you are just as bad, and you have no excuse! When you say they are wicked and should be punished, you are condemning yourself, for you who judge others do these very same things. And we know that God, in his justice, will punish anyone who does such things. Since you judge others for doing these things, why do you think you can avoid God's judgment when you do the same things? Don't you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Can't you see that his kindness is intended to turn you from your sin?" (Romans 2:1-4) NLT
