"The Victor!"

"He shall cut off the spirit of princes: he is terrible to the kings of the earth." (Psalms 76:12) It is fitting to end this Psalm this way, after all, He has overcome; He overcame the devil, He crushed the power of sin, and He conquered death; so there! On a more worldly note, I have got to confess something to you all: I cursed at a brother the other day, and for that I am sorry. So now, instead of cursing, I just change the channel every time they interview him or show him speaking. I really don't want to say who it was, but, his name begins with "Lyin" and he is like a dog that won't stop barking. Enough said; I just needed to get that off my chest. Going back to the title written over this Psalm in my Bible, "The God of Victory and Judgment," these are two very important things that we must remember when facing choices over certain things in our lives; mainly, those things that can cause us harm, things like sin! We do have a choice; we can choose to obey, or we choose to disobey; plain and simple. The not so funny thing is, if we choose to obey, then God will give us the power to overcome the temptation; but the choice is determined within our hearts. Pastor Mike mentioned something yesterday that he has mentioned several times before, which was about those that will except the "Mark of the Beast" during the Tribulation. He said, "They have already accepted the Mark in their hearts long before they actually get one." That is pretty much the same way it works with sin; we have already determined to sin in our hearts long before we have an opportunity to do so. There was a caller who asked about the meaning of 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12, and whether these were those that should be left behind after the rapture and faced damnation during the Tribulation. I loved Mike's answer on this matter, because he said, "Only if they receive the Mark, otherwise, they can still accept the Lord and make it to heaven." It's so true! There are two things that will seal your fate, death and taking the Mark. If you have not yet died, you can still make it into heaven; but during the Tribulation, if you take the Mark, your going to hell. It's like sealing your fate, and knowing your sealed; just like being saved and knowing your saved. How weird is that? Oh, I forgot one thing about "Lyin" you know who; last night on a interview with Megan Kelly, (I wish he could have seen her face when he was speaking, because it was priceless), but he must have some kind of inside information with "He Who Sits On The Throne," because he said with all certainty, "We will be having a contested convention; because no one is going to reach 1,237." Obviously he will not, but what the heck! Is there a prophet in our midst...  "But any prophet who falsely claims to speak in my name or who speaks in the name of another god must die. But you may wonder, 'How will we know whether or not a prophecy is from the LORD?' If the prophet speaks in the LORD'S name but his prediction does not happen or come true, you will know that the LORD did not give that massage. That prophet has spoken without my authority and need not be feared." (DEUTERONOMY 18:20-22) NLT
