"Bigger Than Life"

"Let not them that wait on Thee, O Lord God of hosts, be ashamed for my sake: let not those that seek Thee be confounded for my sake, O God of Israel." (Psalms 69:6) You can bet your bottom dollar that God can undue anything that we mess up. It does not matter how bad we destroy something, whether that be raising a child, our marriage, or even our own life, God can fix anything that we destroy; if He can make something from nothing, then He can make something from anything. I think that is the best picture taken from the first miracle that Jesus performed publicly. I say publicly, because He may have done something before, we just don't know about it; besides that, He was a miracle Himself, having been born of a virgin. But I am talking about the wine that He made from water; because it was not just wine, it was aged wine! I don't know much about wine, except that it does not become wine in a moments time; it takes months, even years for it to become good wine. Which reminds me of something very important to remember whenever we are talking to someone about the age of this earth: Who is to say that God did not create the earth fully formed and mature! I mean, come on! If God can create anything from nothing, can't He make it the way He wants to? They show those sectioned view of the earth's core, and make it appear that the earth had to grow in layers, or that it was once a piece of something else; as if God cannot make something so complex and so involved that it appears to have taken billions of years to be formed. I think sometimes we seriously underestimate the power and might of our God! The main point of this verse is that of keeping our eyes on God! God is so much bigger than this life; and He is especially bigger than any of our lives! We cannot judge God based upon anyone else; nor can we judge God based upon anything that He has created. God is so much bigger than all of this that we see, even the stars in the sky can't compare to the size of our God...  "The LORD made the earth by His power, and He preserves it by His wisdom. With His own understanding He stretched out the heavens. When He speaks in the thunder, the heavens are filled with water. He causes the clouds to rise over the earth. He sends the lighting with the rain and releases the wind from His storehouses. The whole human race is foolish and has no knowledge! The craftsmen are disgraced by the idols they make, for their carefully shaped works are a fraud. These idols have no breath or power. Idols are worthless; they are ridiculous lies! On the day of reckoning they will all be destroyed. But the God of Israel is no idol! He is the Creator of everything that exists, including His people, His own special possession. The LORD of Heaven's Armies is His name!" (Jeremiah 51:15-19) NLT
