There might be more to this than we might think, as it shows the intent of those who might think they know truth, even though their conscience and shame might tell them something else. Everyone is born with the desire to serve something! We are here to worship the Creator, whether we feel like it or not, we will all one day bow down and declare that Jesus is LORD!
The lesson we had last night was a little different; for a short moment I thought it might have taken a turn and there might have been a mistake. Our speaker mentioned, "God needs nothing, because God lacks nothing." For me, it almost made me wonder what God did by sending His Son, was it for what?
Maybe it will be more understandable once we get to Heaven, standing face to face, seeing that all along we were always by His side; after all, God is also eternal, there is nothing about time in the eternal, so it could have all just been for us to experience His great love, knowing and understanding how much that He really does love us!
As far as the perspective on where we are in God's heart, the Bible clearly says that we were always there, that He has known all along those who would be called and chosen, there was never a doubt...
"All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure." (Ephesians 1:3-5 NLT)
